DAY 7

Day 7 - Törnskogens

Tuesday, July 4th 2017, freedom.

A bus, a missed stop and a few kilometers later, here we are at the natural reserve of Törnskogens (well, nearly). It was 11:30 AM. And as we had missed our stop, we had to walk for a bit on the side of road. After all, it’s part of the Adventure.

We finally entered the forest from the south-east part. We walked until reaching lake Snuggan. The sky was gray, and the clouds were low but it was not cold. We were completely alone in this very large forest. By the way, we did not meet a single person during our whole day inside of it. Mostly because like many of our days spent in Sweden, we decided to make our own paths, that you could not find on a map. It is in front of that lake that we sat on a rock and ate our lunch.

Satiated, we walked again and penetrated deeper and deeper inside the reserve. We climbed a small cliff to see the lake from above, and the effort was definitely worth it. That feeling of freedom didn’t leave us. We were all alone with nature.

We resumed our walk again, until we were breath taken by the forest once again. We arrived in front of an endless stream of trees that touched the sky, we felt so small. But what amazed us the most was the fact that this place was so foggy (which we were unable to show properly in our pictures) that it seemed unreal. The sensation of humid air felt strange so strange. We were truly amazed.

Despite the bliss of the forest, we had to move on. We headed back to the proper tracks and walked towards the lake Norrviken, south-west of the reserve.

After that, the circle was complete, we made it back to our starting point, took the bus and went back home. This time, we stopped at the right place.
