Day 3 - Vaxholm

10:30 AM, our boat started sailing towards the Vaxholm island. The voyage only lasted about one hour. We were able to marvel at the sea for the whole time, as we stayed on the deck of the boat.

Once we had arrived, we started visiting the island by foot, which allowed us to see all the beautiful wood-painted houses. After all these steps, we settled on a bench to eat our lunch.

Without wasting any time, we got back on our feet and resumed our march. We kept going across Vaxholm to see it as much as possible. And then, we finally decided to go off the beaten tracks to discover even more. We had to climb a cliff but when we arrived - the view was definitely worth it - it was splendid. We forgot all the efforts of the day when we stood there, high above everything else, facing this sea and forests, with a deep feeling of freedom.

We then walked down to the other side of the forest, along the shoreline. We waited at the port for our boat, and we left at 4 PM. We appreciated once again the sea’s air and the waves.
